Suncoast Chorale presents two performances of its annual “POPS” concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4365 State Road 776, Venice, and at 3 p.m. Feb. 26 at Englewood United Methodist Church, 700 E. Dearborn St., Englewood. Led by Artistic Director Roy Engler and accompanied by John Renfroe, the Chorale will cover popular music from the 1930s to the present including “Cheek to Cheek,” “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore,” “Banks of Doon,” and “Time In A Bottle” by Jim Croce. Included is a performance by Higher Ground — talented young performers from the Higher Ground Performing Arts Company. Tickets are $15.
