Mitt Romney’s easy win in Florida’s Presidential Preference Primary Tuesday likely had a lot to do with his success in business and the Olympics, and his executive experience as a former governor. At least that’s what voters in Port Charlotte, Englewood, Punta Gorda and North Port said after casting votes for their favorite.

In Charlotte County, Romney had 48 percent of the vote when early voting and absentee votes were counted. In Sarasota County, he had 50 percent of the vote with 54,371 votes counted.
