NORTH PORT — Residents interested in learning more about their community are invited to attend North Port Newcomer Day from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the North Port Library, 13800 S. Tamiami Trail.

The free event features information tables by many of the city’s departments and divisions, along with community groups and organizations. Several businesses also have tables inside the Juliano Room of the library, organized by the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce. Offered four times year, the event is hosted by the city of North Port, along with the chamber and the library. If you know of someone who is new to the city, or anyone who might be interested in coming to find out more about North Port, invite them to come.
