The Charlotte Stone Crabs hired Jim Pfander as their general manager on Wednesday.

Pfander, an Ohio native, has over 12 years of professional baseball experience, including his previous job as executive vice president of the Akron Aeros. He has also worked in the Cleveland Indians organization. Pfander was the assistant general manager for the Charleston RiverDogs, the Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
