When Mayor John Holic distributed his “Get It Done 2012 Survey,” he wasn’t expecting scientific results. Still, the responses now in are probably a reasonable representation of the city’s populace, even though he noticed similarities in some of them — a sign that a group or organization may have contacted its members and encouraged them to fill it out.

On the one hand, that’s excellent citizen participation and great input. On the other, it skews the results when one group is overrepresented in the results.
