Anglers and boaters are always hungry for more information. Show a fellow fisherman a prize catch, and you’re pretty much guaranteed an interrogation: Where’d you catch it? What did you use for bait? What was the tide doing? What else did you catch? Some guys will wear you out with questions. But that’s how you learn — by asking.

The eternal quest for more information has gotten a lot easier with the Internet. Of course, not all info is good info — there’s a lot of misinformation, advertising masquerading as information and downright lies drifting around the Web. Sifting through the junk in the search for gems can be exhausting.
