ARCADIA — Two Arcadia residents were arrested Thursday for possession and alleged trafficking of methamphetamines and fentanyl, according to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office.

Margaret Catherine Lynch, 35, of the 3000 block of Wayne Ave., and Michael Travis Brooks, 33, of the 900 block of W. Hickory St., were both “well-known drug dealers,” according to DCSO representatives.

Searching the homes, DCSO narcotics detectives seized 144 grams, or 5.9 ounces, of methamphetamines, 7.7 grams of fentanyl, and $2,951 in cash.

Lynch was charged with:

• Three counts of trafficking in methamphetamines, 14 grams or over;

• Trafficking in fentanyl, 4 grams or more;

• Sale of methamphetamines within 1,000 feet of a place of worship;

• Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams;


• Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brooks was charged with:

• Trafficking in methamphetamines, 14 grams or more;

• Trafficking in fentanyl, 4 grams or more;

• Sale of methamphetamines within 1,000 feet of a place of worship;

• Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams;

• Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both are being held at the DeSoto County Jail without bond.
