ENGLEWOOD — The Englewood Sailing Association held an “Learn to Sail” at its center.

The classes took part on Lemon Bay at Indian Mound Park.

The group said 19 students took part.

They “learned the basic elements of sailing on the water in small boats, taught by knowledgeable members of the Sailing Association,” it said. “The instructors strive to make the class a pleasant experience for the students.”

Boats used to teach included sunfish, picos, quests and holders, it said.

“ESA also offers member adults the opportunity to sail every Wednesday morning, weather permitting, and supplies the boats,” it said.
