Gerald (Jerry) Jones

Gerald (Jerry) Jones, 79, of Arcadia passed away on Oct. 19, 2018. He was born June 16, 1939, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Joseph and Geraldine Jones. He had also lived in Bradenton (Florida) before settling in Arcadia.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Betty C. Jones of Arcadia, Fla.; and a brother, James Michael (Donna) Jones of St. Paul, Minn.; as well as 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, five nephews, one niece, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. He is also survived by best friend/business partner Jim (CeCe) Keller of Bradenton, Fla., and friend Jim Hick of Placida, Fla.

He is preceded by his parents: Joseph and Geraldine Jones; a son, Mark Jones; a brother, Thomas David Jones; and a sister, Carol Anne Butler.

The owner of Jerry’s Pest Solutions, Mr. Jones loved boating and fishing. But his greatest love was a get-together with family and friends so that he could show off his master skills on the BBQ grill. He will be remembered for having a heart of gold and doing anything for any one.

Chapel services are (Saturday) Oct. 27, 2018, from 1-2 p.m., with a funeral service at 2 p.m.
