Elaine VanAmburg, 87, recently passed into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Elaine was born in Medford, Mass., and was a longtime resident of Woburn, Mass., Port Charlotte, Fla., Dowling Park, Fla., and passed away while living in DeLand, Fla.
Elaine was employed as a bank teller in her early years, later she was a bookkeeper for VanAmburg Construction, and later on she was employed by Charlotte Regional Medical Center as an insurance and legal correspondent in the Medical Records Department. She was a blessing to every community and church she attended and played the organ or piano at many different churches throughout her years. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard C. VanAmburg. She is survived by two children, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Good Samaritan Society Florida Lutheran’s chapel in DeLand.
A graveside committal service for Elaine and Richard VanAmburg will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery, Punta Gorda, FL.
