Easter family celebrationThe First United Methodist Church Punta Gorda will host a festive Easter celebration with family-fun activities from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at Gilchrist Park, Punta Gorda. Guests will be able to pose with the Easter bunny and a giant cross with lilies. In addition, there will be a free petting zoo, craft table and free DIY Easter egg hunt kits will be given to each family to take home.

First Monday supperGulf Cove United Methodist Church is offering free carry-out dinners on the first Monday of every month. The April 5 menu includes meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, roll and dessert. The dinners can be picked up between 3:30-5:30 p.m. April 5 at 1100 S. McCall Road, Port Charlotte. Healing Through the Arts FairChrist Lutheran Church will host the Healing Through the Arts Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 10 at 701 N. Indiana Ave. Englewood. The fair is a socially distanced show by various artists selling all sorts of crafts and paintings. Masks are required.

Closet of Hope at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church, 1100 S. McCall Road in Port Charlotte, offers free clothing for children and adults of all ages. The closet is open from 9:30 a.m. to noon every Saturday. Individuals must present a photo ID at the door which reflects their residence in Charlotte County or in Englewood, North Port or Venice in Sarasota County. Please wear a mask. Clothing donations are accepted when the Closet is open.

Crafty Ladies of Gulf Cove United Methodist Church, 1100 S. McCall Road, will sell their hand-crafted items from 9-11:30 a.m. Thursdays (except holidays) at Oak’s Cove, the small building behind the church.
