The Charlotte Players presented their “Madrigal Christmas Celebration,” on Friday, Nov. 30, at the First Alliance Church in Punta Gorda. The sold-out presentation featured a Renaissance-decorated hall, the players in full costume and character, musicians, and Madrigal Singers, who performed ancient carols, as well traditional feasting songs. A traditional dinner was catered by Winn-Dixie of Port Charlotte, the 9-foot Christmas tree was donated by Lowes Home Improvement of Murdock Circle. The Charlotte Players are a nonprofit organization. For more information, or to donate, call 941-255-1022 or visit their website at CharlottePlayers.org
