A single-vehicle crash near the intersection of N. Tamiami Trail and Zemel Road caused some traffic delays early Sunday morning in South Punta Gorda.
The damaged vehicle was found rolled over on its side near a canal off the roadway.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, no occupants were found in or around the vehicle when emergency responders arrived.
At the time of this report, FHP is still investigating the accident.

Elizabeth Gale Stanton, 47, 23100 block of McMullen Ave., Punta Gorda. Charges: petty theft and violation of probation. Bond. None.
Timothy James Wolverton, 55, 3400 block of Middletown St., Port Charlotte. Charges: violation of a domestic violence injunction and battery by intentional touch or strike. Bond: $5,000.
Tad David Funk, 47, 3000 block of Easy St., Port Charlotte. Charges: failure to register a motor vehicle and threat with death serious bodily harm on a law enforcement officer. Bond: none.
Kimberly Ann Wetherington, 53, 2300 block of Beacon Drive, Port Charlotte. Charge: violation of pretrial release for domestic violence. Bond: none.
Jeremy James Miley, 32, 1000 block of Newton St., Englewood. Charge: criminal registration. Bond: none.
Nicholas Sean Witczak, 29, of Buffalo, NY. Charge: battery by intentional touch or strike. Bond: $2,000.
Ashely Leilani Campbell, 22, 300 block of N. 16th Ave., Arcadia. Charges: criminal mischief and battery by intentional touch or strike. Bond: $5,000.
