Cleda Gay Cramer, 88, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022. She was born June 4, 1934, in Mckinneysburg, Ky., the daughter of Myron and Mildred Bayless.
Cleda moved to Ohio where she met her husband, Charles T. Cramer. They remained married for 25 years until his untimely passing in 1985. She worked at Ohio Bell as an Engineer for 25 years. In 1986 Cleda met her companion John Liggett where she moved to Toledo, Ohio and eventually to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1992. At home you could easily find her tending to her flowers and earth gardens. She loved to cook and made sure there was always enough food for the entire neighborhood.
Celda leaves behind her daughter, Susan Higel; son-in-law, Michael Higel; companion of 35 years John Liggett, his daughter, Christina Darlington, son-in-law Samuel Darling, and grandson Ian Taylor. She was preceded in death by her brothers Marvin Wade Bayless, and Veldon Dale Bayless.
Cleda will be sorely, missed by her friends and remaining family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the home of John and Cleda, 250 Spring Lake Blvd, NW, Port Charlotte, FL 33952
