Mark S. Tobin, MD, FACP, formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Hewlett Harbor, N.Y., born in Brooklyn, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, 15 years to the day after his beloved wife, Rieva.

A retired hematologist/oncologist and professor, Dr. Tobin pioneered innovative basic and chemotherapy research and trained scores of international fellows. A proud graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tufts Medical School, his life was characterized by compassion and dedication to his patients and deep love and devotion to his family.

Dr. Tobin is survived by sons Jonathan (Tania) Tobin and Charles (Nancy) Tobin, daughter Pamela (Marc) Garron, and grandchildren Samuel & Benjamin Tobin, Hayley & Andrew Garron.
