Rosemary DiPietra died on November 5, 2021, at the age of 75, at Bayfront Hospital in Port Charlotte Florida.
Born and raised in Brooklyn New York, Rosemary loved Coney Island and was a winner of the Coney Island Mermaid Parade held each year. She later moved to Oceanside Long Island until 2017 when she retired and relocated to Florida.
Rosemary worked at Long Island Jewish Hospital but is well known for her artistry. She was an extremely creative individual who was a gifted painter and costume designer. She loved music, dancing, and her animals.
She was a one of a kind woman who marched to the beat of a different drum and will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Hiram Schroeder, as well as her brothers Jimmy and Milton and her sister Edna.
A private gathering to celebrate her life was held on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
