VENICE — An internet investigation has ended with the arrest of a 64-year-old Venice man on multiple counts of possession of child pornography, Sarasota County Sheriff’s officials reported Friday.
PORT CHARLOTTE — Detectives with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are hoping to soon release a sketch of the suspect who allegedly attempted to abduct a runner on York Avenue near Ollie’s Pond in Port Charlotte last week.
PORT CHARLOTTE — A Port Charlotte man was charged with animal cruelty after allegedly letting his dog’s tumor go untreated until it grew to the size of a grapefruit.
VENICE - A Bradenton man led Venice Police on a car chase, foot chase and was involved in an officer-involved shooting, then hid in an apartment early Saturday before eventually being taken into custody.
PUNTA GORDA — A theft at Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning resulted in the loss of more than $10,000 of property, according to Board President Bill Klossner.
PORT CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for information on a suspect who is believed to have attempted to abduct a woman jogging on York Avenue near Ollie’s Pond in Port Charlotte.
PUNTA GORDA — Disturbing details have emerged from the recently released report of a Punta Gorda man accused of extorting sexual photos from children.
NORTH PORT — A North Port man was arrested after police found illegal tattooing equipment and various illegal substances, the North Port Police Department reported Thursday.
