1 Peter 5:7, 8: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
Sometimes we think we are on our own in this world and must get by the best way we can.
If you have faith in the Word of God, then you know and must believe God cares for you.
Some people need someone to hold their hand when they are going through a difficulty; they need the soothing words of a friend to help lessen their fears. This is understandable because we take comfort in human contact.
As Christians we have something even better. God knows what you are going through and He cares about every aspect of it. He wants you to trust Him and rely on His love and help in every situation. The more knowledgeable you are in the Word, and the stronger your faith is in the Word, you will know and trust God that He has an expected end for you.
Many people can quote Romans 8:28, but how many people believe and stand on it when life gets hard? In writing to the Romans Paul said, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, and to them who are the called according to His purpose. Can you believe that when you are going through something that is painful whether physical or mental? It may be COVID-19, loss of income, family problems, or just that our world has been turned upside-down that causes you to worry and be upset.
Satan wants to get you into fear, because fear is the opposite of faith. When you are worried, then you think you control the situation and that somehow by your efforts, things will get fixed. Worry leaves God out of the situation. Wrong thinking is the quickest path to fear and worry. Your thoughts need to line up with the Word of God. All your days are in God’s hand; stop worrying and trust Him.
Jesus told us we will suffer in this world, life won’t always be easy. Every day, turn over your cares to God and leave them there. Faith does amazing things in the lives of those who trust God, so start believing and know that all things do work together for good to those who love God, and are called according to His purpose.
