If you love Fleetwood Mac, you're going to like Sweet Fleet.
The local band brings its Fleetwood Mac show to the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center in Punta Gorda on Jan. 31.
Grace Burke, Gannon Torrella, Alyssa Dodge, Sylvan Nadel and Joey Worth make up the band that has been together almost two years and has played several gigs throughout the area — including a sold-out show at Englewoods on Dearborn.
"My dad teaches singing and music at the Guitar Center in Sarasota and he has put together bands from people he taught," Burke said of how the band got together. "We've all had lessons from him."
Burke said she has played keyboard for quite a while and gravitated toward Fleetwood Mac music a long time ago. She and her bandmates all love the '70s and '80s sound and through a lot of practice, and with their share of talent, they pull it off well.
Dodge is only 16 but her lead vocals and stage presence will remind concert-goers of Stevie Nicks. The rest of the band — including Torrella's lead guitar — brings the Fleetwood Mac sound alive.
