Lakeland - Frank Lector Robinson, 69, was born September 14, 1948 in Jacksonville, FL, and passed away August 30, 2018 in St. Petersburg, FL.

Lector spent most of his life as a resident of Polk County, and was a proud 1966 graduate of Bartow High School where he developed a lifelong love for music during his time playing clarinet in the school band. Music shaped his life and brought him consolation and deep gladness. A talented musician, he shared his gifts as a pianist and organist while serving several churches during his adult years. The family is appreciative of the many individuals, known and unknown, who showed kindness to him and provided support for Lector during his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Rufus L. Robinson and Gladys F. Robinson of Lakeland, FL. He is survived by his brother Charles Robinson, wife Lisa of Overland Park, KS; brother Dan Robinson, wife Robin of Pittsboro, NC; nephew Benjamin Robinson of Overland Park, KS, niece Erin Robinson Hall, husband Jake of Macon, GA, niece Ashley Robinson of Decatur, GA, nephew Bryan Robinson of Atlanta, GA, and great nephew Logan Hall of Macon, GA.

A graveside service of remembrance will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland, FL later in the fall.
