HAINES CITY – Haines City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Chair Karen Tiner recently announced that Lana Stripling has been hired as executive director of the chamber.
Stripling has been interim executive director ever since Miki Weaver resigned in August. Weaver served just a few months having taken over the chamber from longtime director Betsy Cleveland, who took a job with the Polk Supervisor of Elections in late 2017.
“For the past 90 days (Lana) has displayed exceptional enthusiasm and impeccable work ethic in continuing the day-to-day operations of the Chamber along with facilitating the Chamber’s two new successful events: Wine and Cheese in the Park and the East Polk Business Expo.”
Stripling said she is looking forward to the future.
“I am very excited for this opportunity,” Stripling said. “I grew up here and graduated high school from Haines City Senior High so this is hometown for me. I have been involved with the community and look forward to helping Haines City and the area communities and businesses grow and thrive. Our communities have so much to offer.”
