NORTH PORT — City residents may be closer to having food trucks following Tuesday’s commission meeting.

NORTH PORT — On a day of national pride, North Port runners came together locally Wednesday for the 12th annual Firecracker 5K Run at the Morgan Family Community Center.

A local corrections officer joined the likes of just a handful of Florida veterans, active duty soldiers and exceptional citizens this week.

NORTH PORT — Meeting in a special session Monday, North Port city commissioners approved the budget and operating hours for the city’s new aquatic center, which is set to open next summer.
