Carole B. Winters, 81, of Sebring, Florida passed away on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018 in Jupiter, Florida. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Thomas) Bates of Columbia, Tennessee.

Carole leaves behind her husband, Neal Winters of Sebring, and two sons, Rick Powell (Lisa) of Cumming, Georgia and Kevin Powell (Becci) of Middleburg, Florida. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her second husband, George Gardler, and her sister, Jean Wrenn.

Carole retired from Automatic Data Processing in Miami, Florida and from Sunshine Staffing in Sebring, Florida. She was a member of the Sun N Lake Country Club. She enjoyed the water. She had her private pilot’s license and was a member of the Nine Hole Ladies Golf Association and the Nippin-Knitters. Carole moved here in 1995 from Fort Lauderdale and was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church of Sebring.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made directly to Elaine’s Christmas Kids Ministry Union Church, 106 N. Butler Ave., Avon Park, FL 33825.
