Patricia A. Swinburnson, 86, of Sebring, Florida passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018 in Tampa, Florida. She was born on April 24, 1932 in Goshen, New York to Alphons and Anna (VanRegenmortel) Versweyveld. Patricia worked as a bookkeeper in New York while living in New Jersey and later moved to Fort Lauderdale where she worked as a nanny. She moved to Sebring, Florida in 1990.

She is survived by her husband, Clayton Swinburnson; brother, Denis (Judith) Versweyveld of Venice, Florida; nieces and nephews, Paula (Hank) Scarpelli, Mary Ann (David) Mangold, Felix (Jeanne) Versweyveld, Daniel Versweyveld, Patti Lee (James) Creighton, Jacqueline (Christopher) Kelder, Pieter (Maria) Versweyveld, James (Janet) Versweyveld, and Matthew (Shara) Versweyveld; sister-in-law, Marilyn Versweyveld; several great nieces and nephews and a special granddaughter, Jenna Raine. She is predeceased by brothers, Felix Versweyveld Sr. and John Versweyveld, and sisters, Marie Saturno, Cornelia Versweyveld and Helen Chalot.

Patricia was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church of Avon Park, Florida and also a member of the American Legion Post 69 Women’s Auxiliary. Patricia was very well known for her Christmas village decorations and took great pride in them.

Memorial contributions in Patricia’s memory are to be made to the American Legion Post 69. A Memorial Mass for Patricia will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, Florida. Arrangements entrusted to Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, 111 E.
