We should look at the words quoted by John F. Kennedy: “Change is the law of life and those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future."

We need to do what we can to help see that Florida statute 768.21 (8) is changed so our loved ones, not only now, but in the future, are protected, while making the community aware of this discriminatory law. With a change, people will be able to have a right to seek an attorney for a wrongful death claim due to medical negligence.

Please support Kit's Crusade for those “who can’t be represented in a wrongful death claim due to medical negligence” to be included and not excluded from this Florida Statute. As we coordinate with the legislative representatives, we would be happy to take your concerns, stories, questions and comments to them. Some of you may have a story about a loved one that has already faced this situation and would like legislators to know your dissatisfaction and your eagerness to see the change as well. We are open to talk to any group or organization that may want us to explain this statute. Send your correspondence and feedback of support to: Kit's Crusade, PO Box 1792, Avon Park, FL 33826.
