Having fun on the Avenue are the Halloween Scarlet Macaws: Bonnie Keith, left, Kathy Lafayette and Simone Killoren, store manager.

Simone Killoren entertained customers and passersby on West Venice Avenue last week.

Killoren, manager of the Scarlet Macaw, 225 W. Venice Ave., was challenged to do the chicken dance if enough people liked the store’s funky new chicken shirts on its Facebook page.

They did, so she did the chicken dance in the store and it was recorded. That led the team to dress up for their Halloween party at the store as part of a really fun week on the avenue, with staff and customers in costumes.

The team expressed appreciation for all their loyal customers who are supporting them during downtown beautification and hope the fun will continue.
