Downtown mural taking shape

Making steady progress with his interactive mural downtown, artist David Lee anticipates he may complete the project by the end of next week. His work is to fit in with the ambiance of Historic Downtown Venice, advertising the city and be a themed 3-D action image fitting to the city in the time period of 1920s and 1930s. It is featured on the wall at 303 W. Venice Avenue filling a space of 13 feet by 7.5 feet. It is a project of Venice MainStreet and Visit Florida and is sponsored by the Ehrhart Family Foundation, Erin Silk, Betty and Mike Ehik, Daria and Rod Nafziger, Venice Sunrise Rotary Club, Steve and Kathleen Steff, Nick and Beth Flerlage, Patrick and Paula Carney, TriMonsters Youth Triathlon Team.
