With colder weather moving into northern states, visitors and snowbirds are returning to Florida. In Venice, volunteers known as Downtowners are prepared to welcome them. They work Monday through Saturday from Nov. 12 to April. Their “job” is to greet everyone coming to the avenues downtown, answering questions and giving out information on activities and events. Venice MainStreet provides the volunteers with all the information they need to share. To learn more or to volunteer to become a Downtowner, call 941-484-6722.
