Window and door manufacturer PGT Innovations is hosting a career fair to attract talent for open positions at its North Venice location.

The fair takes place at the company’s headquarters at 1070 Technology Drive from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Candidates with all types of work backgrounds and skill sets are encouraged to attend to learn more about the career opportunities available with the innovative team manufacturing the best-selling impact-resistant windows and doors in America.

Career fair attendees will be treated to a tailgate party with complimentary food and beverages. In addition, new team members who are hired will receive a $500 sign-on bonus.

“This career fair is not about just landing a job; it’s about securing a career,” said Jeff Jackson, the PGT CEO and president. “Our work is more than producing exceptional windows and doors. A constant focus of PGT Innovations is our core values, which include a commitment to supporting our team members.

“We want our folks to arrive every day knowing they work for a company caring about them and their family,” Jackson said. “We hope this event helps us expand our family with more great people looking for long-term careers.”

PGT employs more than 2,000 team members at the Venice location and is the largest private employer in Sarasota County. The company offers competitive wages and health-care benefits, up to 100 percent tuition reimbursement, profit sharing and paid time off.

Growth and family are a large part of the culture at PGT, which offers numerous employee-oriented benefits and programs. They include its new 7,500-square-foot child care center, the Inspire the Future scholarship program, an employee stock purchase program, onsite wellness center and fitness center.
