Vacant commercial land adjacent to CenterState Bank in Osprey has been acquired by Seaside Springs Retirement Community LLC.

Land in Osprey previously considered for a shopping center has been acquired by Seaside Springs Retirement Community LLC of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The vacant commercial land is at 1301 and 1201 South Tamiami Trail between Habitat Boulevard and Old Venice Road.

It does not include the CenterState Bank property at 1307 South Tamiami Trail.

According to county public records, the two lots changed ownership for $2,695,000.

Plans for Seaside Springs, the future commercial development to be built on the property, are in the Sarasota County Planning Department.

It is proposed the project would be built on South Tamiami Trail directly across from the recently upgraded Shoppes at Casey Key, which now has a new Publix and other stores.
