Thousands of people once again trekked to Oscar Scherer State Park for the sold-out, always-popular Haunted Trails held Oct. 26-27.

The Nokomis Fire Department organizes the event as a way to raise money. Held in the dark woods of the state park, the event has become well-known for scaring people of all ages, from the trails to the haunted house.

Little kids who can’t handle such a scare had an area where they could trick-or-treat in relative calm.
