This Christmas, Venice Regional Bayfront Health is starting a new holiday tradition. A 20-foot ice light Christmas tree that will sit atop the hospital’s roof through the holidays.

To celebrate the occasion, the hospital is hosting a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. for employees, volunteers and public alike.

The free evening of festivities will include cookies, hot chocolate, a Christmas carol singalong, and a reading of “The Night Before Christmas.” And, no holiday event would be complete without Santa and one of his elves.

Kids of all ages (from 1 to 92) are welcome.

The tree lighting ceremony will take place in front of the hospital’s main entrance. Parking is available in the parking garage. No RSVP is necessary for this free event.
