Buck Buckmaster, owner of Revolutionary Martial Arts studio at 2141 S. Tamiami Trail in Nokomis, has fun with Karate Santa in his official martial arts clothes. He plans to meet children attending his visit on Dec. 12 - registration is requested.

NOKOMIS - Determined to bring some good news to this great community, well-known local and state martial arts expert Buck Buckmaster is arranging for kids to participate in a special Christmas event.

Karate Santa will be visiting the Revolutionary Martial Arts studio at 2141 S. Tamiami Trail.

Decked-out in his official martial arts costume, Karate Santa is arriving at 9 a.m. Saturday Dec. 12 and staying until 11 a.m. in his decorated Christmas tent.

Observing social distancing, families can take photographs at a distance of the kids meeting and speaking to Karate Santa.

Doughnuts and apple juice are being provided for the boys and girls aged 10 years and under during the vehicle drive thru. Wearing masks is optional, Buckmaster stated.

He is asking for donations during the event of dry can foods for All Faiths Food Bank and unwrapped toys for the annual Toys for Tots campaign. There is also their annual pencil drive with all donations to local schools.

With so many things closed down this year, Buckmaster hopes the event will bring some seasonal cheer to the neighborhood.

To help with social distancing, he request families wishing to participate call Revolutionary Martial Arts Studio, 941-525-3389 to register for a specific time. Those interested can also register online at http://bit.ly/RmaSanta.
