Venice High School underwent a brief evacuation in response to a bomb threat reported on Wednesday morning. Shortly after, law enforcement determined the threat to be a hoax and students returned to class.

VENICE — A bomb threat led to the evacuation of Venice High School students from the building on Wednesday.

According to Sarasota County Public Schools, both Venice High School and Booker Middle School in Sarasota received bomb threats that later turned out to be hoaxes.
