VENICE — The city has vacancies coming up on three boards.

• Architectural Review Board — one upcoming vacancy, and the current member has asked to be reappointed. The board makes recommendations to the City Council regarding architectural and aesthetic standards and enforce the standards adopted by the Council. It meets at 9 a.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of each month in Council Chambers at City Hall.

• Parks and Recreation Advisory Board — one upcoming vacancy. The board advises the City Council on matters pertaining to the city’s parks and recreation system. It meets quarterly at 3 p.m. on the third Monday of January, April, July and October in Council Chambers at City Hall.

• Public Art Advisory Board — one student vacancy open to a Venice area high school student recommended by the principal or his or her designee. The board meets at 3:30 p.m. quarterly the second Wednesday of the month in Council Chambers at City Hall.
