VENICE — Keith Usiskin will lead a discussion at the Jewish Congregation of Venice concerning German and Austrian physicians who participated in Nazi atrocities during World War II.
The discussion will take place March 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the social hall at the Jewish Congregation of Venice. Light refreshments will be served.
Attendees will explore German and Austrian physicians who participated in Nazi medical atrocities of varying degrees — from the most heinous (for example, Joseph Mengele) to those with a less certain involvement but potentially complicit (for example, Hans Asperger).
Keith Usiskin and his wife Michelle are new members of the JCV.
Usiskin is an internist, endocrinologist and drug developer with a long-standing interest in medical education and ethics.
Jewish Congregation of Venice is at 600 North Auburn Road in Venice. Call 941-484-2022 or visit: jewishcongregationvenice.com
