VENICE — If you haven’t already requested a vote-by-mail ballot for the Nov. 2 Venice City Council election, you have until 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23.
Request a vote-by-mail ballot at SarasotaVotes.gov/VotebyMail or by calling 941-861-8618.
Voted ballots may be returned by mail or in person but must be received in the elections office by 7 p.m. election night to be counted. The cost to return a ballot by mail is one Forever stamp or 58 cents in postage.
Ballots also may be returned to secure drop boxes inside elections offices in Venice, Sarasota, and North Port:

• Biscayne Plaza, 13640 Tamiami Trail, North Port, 34287
The offices are open weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 22; daily from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. from Sunday, Oct. 24, to Monday, Nov. 1; and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 2.
Voters should complete and sign the Voter’s Certificate on the ballot return envelope, and the voter’s signature should match the signature on record.
Voters may track their ballots and sign up to receive ballot status notifications at SarasotaVotes.gov/VotebyMail.
